The DICTA24 Challenge is on recognizing subtle differences among visually similar objects. This is a golden opportunity for researchers, data scientists, and AI enthusiasts to showcase their skills and contribute to advancing the field of Digital Image Computing.

The detailed differences among similar objects, such as attributes like the arrangement and quantity of parts, composition of components, shape, size, and texture, are crucial in various applications such as pick&place robotic task in warehouses or anomaly detection in production lines (to distinguish between similarly looking objects).

Challenge Tasks:
1. Difference Image Selection Task:
Objective: Given two images and a text describing the differences, identify which image contains the change.
Evaluation Metric: Accuracy (binary classification).
2. Conditional Difference Captioning Task:
Objective: Describe the subtle differences in shape, color, or texture between two images.
Evaluation Metrics: BLEU-4 and CIDEr (comparing generated and reference captions).
