Early Career Research Group Leader for Machine Learning in Science
The Cluster of Excellence "Machine Learning - New Perspectives for Science" at the University of Tübingen is seeking aspiring scientists for several Early Career Research Group Leader positions. This prestigious role is designed for researchers at the interface of machine learning and various scientific disciplines, including natural, social, and life sciences. The program aims to empower leaders who can develop and apply ML methods to transform scientific discovery.
The positions are particularly suited for researchers immediately following their PhD or with some postdoctoral experience. Successful candidates receive a 6-year appointment (E14 TV-L salary), funding for one PhD student, and significant start-up and running costs. A unique feature of this fellowship is the guaranteed fallback option to a permanent Staff Scientist position (E13) upon positive final evaluation, providing long-term career security in a world-class research environment.
