STEM for Development, in partnership with the RNA Institute at the University at Albany, offers a unique research training opportunity for summer 2025. This Virtual Bioinformatics Research Program is open to five international students from the Global South. Running from June 16 to August 1, participants will commit 15-20 hours per week to learn RNA sequencing data analysis and conduct independent research under faculty mentorship. The program is designed for current undergraduate or graduate students in life sciences, requiring no prior bioinformatics experience but fluency in English and a reliable internet connection. Benefits include gaining skills in R coding, command line usage, data visualization, and receiving a certificate of completion along with a digital badge.
