Tampere University and Tampere University of Applied Sciences offer a unique, multidisciplinary environment for inspirational and high-impact research and education, with strengths in technology, health, and society. They are inviting applications for an MSCA Doctoral Candidate position in mm-Wave positioning and sensing for aerial-user applications. This position is part of the EU-funded MiFuture industrial doctorate program, aiming to develop wireless communication innovations for 6G technologies.

Eligibility: Applicants must not hold a PhD degree and should comply with mobility conditions, specifically not having resided in Finland for more than 12 months in the 3 years prior to recruitment.

Job Role: The selected candidate will enroll as a PhD student, engage in MiFuture network activities, including a 3-month secondment at UC3M university in Madrid, Spain, and spend 18 months each at TAU and Nokia Bell Labs in Finland. The research focuses on developing ML algorithms for ultra-massive MIMO scenarios.

Requirements:
- Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
- Proficiency in Matlab, Python, or similar.
- Knowledge in wireless communications, digital signal processing, and machine learning is desirable.
