The ASTAR PhD Programme is a prestigious four-year funded initiative by The University of Manchester and the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (ASTAR) in Singapore. - Year 1 - Manchester: Induction, Literature report, Project planning and design, Continuation report.
- Year 2 and 3 - Singapore: Research project continuation.
- Year 4 - Manchester: Final project work, Thesis preparation, Final submission, and Viva.

Funding includes: Tuition fees, Monthly stipend, Airfare grants, Settling in allowance in Singapore, and Medical insurance.
