The Durland Scholarships support graduate students at Saint Mary's University in research-based master's and PhD programs. Funded by the Durland Family's $3-million gift, the scholarships provide $10,000 for master's students and $15,000 for doctoral students. The awards are renewable for up to three additional years for PhD students and one additional year for master's students.

- Exceed minimum admission criteria for research-based graduate programs
- Alignment with the university’s strategic research themes
