The DAAD Alumni Programme is designed to strengthen professional networks and enhance the competencies of international alumni from developing countries.
This programme focuses on two main funding lines:
1. Alumni Training Events: Organized by German universities or research institutions in Germany or abroad, these seminars are aimed at the professional development of international alumni.
2. Overarching Alumni Activities: These include efforts to improve cooperation with international alumni and support the general alumni work of German universities, enhancing their international visibility.
Eligibility: Foreign students from DAC-listed developing countries, who have completed their education or had professional stints at German institutions, are eligible. This includes alumni of DAAD's specific programs like the Surplace/Third Country Programme, Africa Centres of Expertise, Exceed Programme, or SDG Research Training Groups.
