Randy Pausch, a Carnegie Mellon Professor, gave a lecture entitled "Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams." He shared his experiences and lessons learned, and offered advice on how to achieve one's goals. He emphasizes the importance of hard work, persistence, and perseverance.

He encouraged his listeners to listen to their critics and to give back to others. He also stressed the importance of being prepared, taking care of oneself, and making the most of every opportunity.

Randy says, "Want to have a short phone call with someone? Call them at 11:55 a.m., right before lunch. They'll talk fast. You may think you are interesting, but you are not more interesting than lunch. It's not about the cards you're dealt, but how you play the hand!"

He also said that success depends on how one plays the problems they are dealt, and that it is possible to improve a situation, no matter how bad it may seem. Self-care is important, as we must put on our own oxygen mask before helping others! Finally, he suggested that asking for help can lead to achieving one's dreams.
