Remote Research Internship at Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. Sasahara lab at Tokyo Institute Technology (TokyoTech) studies computational social science in order to understand human society as a complex system, connecting knowledge to innovation and value creation. It is offering two remote research internships at the lab on specific projects broadly related to understanding social behaviors in the Reddit and Twitter communities. Interns will get involved in research study designs, obtaining data especially accessing APIs, and analysis of data. This internship is for 3 months (preferably starting from AUG to OCT); and will be offering a remuneration package with payment in USD and a recommendation letter for Graduate school based on your performance. It expects you to be proficient in using Python or R programming as the project will be mostly work in such environments. However, they are flexible to any programming language at your convenience where you can conduct similar tasks. You will be mostly working with Dr. Dilrukshi Gamage and report your progress while being under observation to Prof. Kazutoshi Sasahara at the Department of Innovation Science, School of Environment and Society, Tokyo Institute of Technology.
