The University of Texas at Arlington's Department of Computer Science and Engineering is offering a dynamic Summer 2024 Research Internship program from May 27 to August 2, 2024.

These internships focus on Assistive Technologies and provide an interdisciplinary, immersive experience in a near real-life environment for undergraduate sophomores, juniors, and seniors pursuing computer science and engineering. Participants will be engaged in an NSF-supported REU site and contribute to the burgeoning field of assistive technology for people with disabilities.

Interns will receive a $5,000 stipend and housing allowance where applicable, gain valuable industry experience through hands-on training, collaborative projects, leadership, ethics, communication, and receive working skills alongside esteemed Principle Investigators Dr. Ishfaq Ahmad, Dr. Kathryn Daniel, and Dr. Manfred Huber.

Rules & Qualifications:
- Open to undergraduate sophomore, junior, and senior students in computer science and engineering.
- Applicants must demonstrate a keen interest in assistive technology and a commitment to learning.
- A $5,000 stipend plus housing allowance is provided.
- Prior experience in assistive technology is not required, but advantageous.
