Google Academic Research Awards (GARA) aim to support and collaborate with researchers to generate impactful, real-world applications. The program publishes Requests for Proposals (RFPs) addressing various research challenges in technology and computing.

Eligible applicants include professors (assistant, associate, etc.) at degree-granting institutions who advise students and conduct research in relevant fields. Proposals are evaluated based on faculty and research merit, proposal quality, and alignment with Google's AI Principles.
