DOE NNSA Stewardship Science Graduate Fellowship (Established 2006): For Ph.D. students in stewardship science-related fields. Eligible for U.S. citizens in their senior year of undergraduate or first/second year of doctoral study. Application deadline: January 10, 2024.

DOE Computational Science Graduate Fellowship (Established 1991): Supports doctoral students in fields using high-performance computing. Offers a $45,000 annual stipend, full tuition and fees, a $1,000 academic allowance, and a 12-week research practicum at a DOE lab. Open to U.S. citizens or permanent residents in their senior year of undergraduate or first year of doctoral study. Application deadline: January 17, 2024.

DOE NNSA Laboratory Residency Graduate Fellowship: For doctoral students working on topics relevant to the stewardship of the U.S. nuclear stockpile. Provides a $42,000 annual stipend, full tuition and fees, a $2,000 academic allowance, and at least two 12-week research residencies at DOE NNSA facilities. Eligible for U.S. citizens entering their second or later year of doctoral study. Application deadline: March 13, 2024.
